FREE Diabetes Education at Northern Pharmacy & Medical Equipment
Classes will be from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm, every Thursday in June, from the 3rd through the 24th.
Every Diabetic Counts
is a free, diabetes self-management education program designed specially for Medicare beneficiaries with diabetes who live in Baltimore City, Baltimore County, and Prince George’s County.
Every Diabetic Counts classes are taught by experienced health educators and are held at easy-to-reach locations, including senior centers, senior apartment buildings, churches, and public libraries.
Every Diabetic Counts classes cover a variety of important topics, including:
* Managing blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol
* Making healthy lifestyle choices, including diet and exercise
* Understanding medicines for diabetes
* Reducing medical complications
Classes provide practical, hands-on activities; lively discussions; helpful handouts; and many other tools to help you improve YOUR diabetes care.
